Permanent Jewelry FAQ
How much does it cost?
Bracelets start at $30. Prices for rings, necklaces, and other permanent pieces vary depending on your chosen chain depending on style and material.
What if it breaks?
If your piece breaks at the weld (where it was zapped) within 90 days, the first repair is free—just bring the chain and your proof of purchase which you received with the purchase of your permanent piece.
If it breaks elsewhere or it is past 90 days, a small repair fee of $10 will apply. If the chain is lost, a replacement chain will need to be purchased.
Does it hurt?
Not at all. The micro-weld is quick and gentle. The spark never touches your skin, and a protective barrier is always placed between the chain and your skin.
How long does permanent jewelry last?
With proper care, your piece can last months to years. These chains are designed to be worn 24/7, but like all fine jewelry, they may break if pulled with force. (If it breaks at the weld within 90 days, we offer a free repair—chain must be present.)
What if my jewelry needs to come off?
You can simply cut the chain at the jump ring (where we zapped) using household scissors. Keep your chain and bring it to us—we can re-weld it for a small fee.
Can I go through airport security wearing permanent jewelry?
Yes! Fine jewelry never needs to be removed for TSA or general security screenings.
Can permanent jewelry be worn in medical tests?
In most cases, yes — permanent jewelry is safe to wear during everyday medical appointments. However, certain medical tests may require all metal jewelry to be removed, including:
-X-rays
-MRIs
-Surgical procedures
Any imaging or treatment where your provider instructs you to remove metal
Permanent jewelry can be taken off at home by cutting it with scissors or pliers (cut where we welded on the jumpring).
We can re-weld your piece after your appointment for a small fee.
If you have an upcoming medical test and you’re unsure, it’s always best to check with your healthcare provider in advance.
Can I shower, swim, or work out in it?
Yes, your piece is designed for everyday wear. Water and sweat won’t harm it. Just avoid harsh chemicals or lotions directly on the chain.
What materials do you use?
We use premium sterling silver, 14k gold-filled, and 14k solid gold options. All chains are carefully curated to be durable, hypoallergenic, and long-lasting.
Can minors get permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is safe for all ages, but we recommend 13+ because children grow quickly. Anyone under 18 must have a parent/guardian present and sign our consent form.
Do you offer private bookings or parties?
Yes! We bring the Glow Bar experience to you. Perfect for girls’ nights, birthdays, bridal parties, and private events.
